The Giant Tun is light in weight and thin. The body whorl has several spiral ribs, and the spire is very short. Its color is generally a caramel brown, but it may be lighter or darker.
This shell is found around the world in deep waters.

Although the Banded Tun shell is thin yet hardy. Approximately seven whorls are found on this shell. Its color is a milk white with three to four espresso-brown coils on the body whorl. The tip o fthe shell is purple.
This shell is found offshore in the Pacific Ocean.
