Lambis chiragra Linnaeus
This shell is white and speckled with brown spots. The aperture ranges in color from pink to brown. The spire is very short and hidden by the projections, which are continuations of the spiral ribs. All of the claw-like projections on Chiragra Spider Conch shells are open. Females of this species are larger than the males.
This shell is found in sand inshore.
Lambis lambis Linnaeus
