Cypraecassis rufa Linnaeus
This thick shell is hefty for its size. Three or four rows of blunt knobs which decrease in size towards the anterior end lie on its back. Approximately 24 teeth lie on the orange-red outer lip of the shell opposite the riblets along the siphonal canal. The spire of this shell has no varices.
This shell is found in coral reefs.
