Haliotis fulgens
These thick, openly swirling shells have very few whorls. The large body whorl has small holes which were once used for respiration. They are light brown and gray on the outside and iridescent inside. Pressure from the muscle of this creature creates the visible lines on the inside.
Abalones live near rocks found by the shore.
